Casual Riding Boots

One type of riding boot has risen to
prominence on and off the horse-the cowboy boot. The original cowboys of
the mid 1800s wore any type of boot or shoe they could find, but toward
the end of the frontier era, they adopted the U.S. trooper's boot. Later,
a modified version of the footwear worn by Mexican cowboys, or vaqueros
was adopted. women casual riding boots

For better control in the saddle, the shoe part of the boot
fitted tightly. This, and the sloping heel which gripped the stirrup, made
them difficult to walk in but excellent for control when riding. After the
Civil War, cowboys began to adopt lowheeled, hightopped boots made in a
hard, black leather called kip. These were often made by Cerman immigrants
who based their designs on Northern European riding boots. Experience fashion at its finest with this trendy and fun western boot. Leather upper with stitch and cut out detail. Quick and easy pull-on style. 15" shaft height and 13" calf circumference. 2 1/4" heel.
